If the cub falls very far behind then they are vulnerable to predators and many lion cubs don't make it to adulthood. But he is keeping up much better than when the injury was first spotted and seems otherwise healthy

I saw a tiny baby bushpig years ago at Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage outside Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. It had a bright green stripe down its back! I have never seen a bushpig in the wild. I am amazed at the colouring.
